Chandigarh one of the cleanest city of INDIA started CNG in
two wheelers. State Transport Authority of Chandigarh has approved first
such kit for the Honda Activa scooter in the city
as published in Tribune newspaper.
its a Compressed natural gas (CNG) (methane stored at high
pressure), its a fuel which can be used in place of gasoline (petrol),
Diesel fuel and propane/LPG
Item Included:
The CNG kit for two-wheelers comprises two cylinders of 0.6 kg each, which can run up to 100 or 110 km per kg at an approximate cost of Rs 0.60 per km per single fill.
Cost:
The expected cost of the CNG kit is around Rs 15,000.

Approved:
CNG kits had been approved and certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and ICAT respectively
Only one Filling station:
At present, only one CNG filling station is functional in the city. The UT Administration has given its approval for setting up nine more CNG stations. It is promoting the CNG to reduce pollution in the city
