Himachal Pradesh soon starts Sewa Sadan in Chandigarh

Main highlights of this news are:
  • The new constructed Himachal Pradesh Sewa Sadan at Chandigarh soon dedicated to the people of the State as soon as possible : Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister. 
  • This nice news was disclosed by Public Works Minister called  " Thakur Gulab Singh ",  after inspecting the newly constructed “Himachal Sewa Sadan” building at Sector-25 West at Chandigarh on sept 2011.
  • Thakur Gulab Singh said that the new building ment for cater to the lodging needs of the patients and their attendants referred from Himachal Pradesh( hospitals ) to the P.G.I. Chandigarh. 
  • He said that after obtaining clearances from UT administration chandigarh, the State Government has constituted Himachal Pradesh Sewa Sadan Society for smooth functioning of the Sewa Sadan. 
Features are:
  • According to him This new building completed at a cost of Rs 10.50 crore .
  • It has 23 Double Bed Rooms and have total bed capacity of 153 including 18 dormitories.
  • The whole building was centrally air-conditioned with facility of Canteen that would provide meals at nominal rates.
  • The building was equipped with modern facilities and would be available on nominal rent-rate to the patients and their attendants.
Parking facilities too:
  • Thakur Gulab Singh also said that the four storied building have facilities of parking of vehicles in the basement and in the courtyard.
  • He said that two lifts have been installed to facilitate the patients.
Nice Line for HIMACHAL PEOPLE
  • Public Works Minister said in order to  keep in mind  a large number of patients transfered from Himachal Pradesh come to P.G.I. Chandigarh for treatment.
  • Himachal Serai Bhawan was constructed in Sector-24 D in 1980 with 52 Bed capacity, but now the accommodation has become inadequate as a result of which the State Govt. had taken decision to construct this new building at Chandigarh.
