Himachal Statehood Day Special 2025

Himachal Pradesh Statehood Day is celebrated on January 25th every year. This day marks the occasion when Himachal Pradesh was granted full statehood in 1971. It was originally a Union Territory before being elevated to state status.

Given that today is January 25, 2025, it's quite timely
Chief Minister of Himachal Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attended the state-level celebrations of the 55th Statehood on Baijnath.
CM said employment generation was a priority for his government. The present government has provided 42,000 jobs in the last two years as compared to 20,000 in five years under the previous BJP government.
More than 12,500 positions have been filled in the government sector. Recruitment for 1,088 constables in the police department is underway, while results for 2,061 forest guard posts have been declared. Furthermore, 3,000 vacancies in the Jal Shakti Department have been successfully filled.

The Chadiyar sub-tehsil will be upgraded to a tehsil, along with the establishment of a new Public Works Department sub-division and a digital library in the area. Additionally, plans were announced for the development of Tattvani’s hot water springs and Kheer Ganga Ghat as tourist attractions. A bridge will also be constructed over the Binwa River at Sansali-Bhatwali on the Paprola-Baijnath bypass road.
An international-level zoological park is being built in Bankhandi, Dehra, at a cost of Rs 600 crore.
