Right to Education Act discuss in detail.
  • Every child in INDIA ages group of  to 14 years has the right to free and compulsory education.  

  • In 86th Constitution Amendment Act added Article 21A, specially for RTE.
  • The schools that offer free educations managed by school management committees (SMC). 
  • Private schools shall admit at least 25% of the children in their schools without any fee.
  • Also all Monitoring will be done by The National Commission for Elementary Education.
Important :
  • The government will be launching the Right to Education campaign across the country called 'Shiksha Ka Abhiyaan' on National Education Day. 
  • First Launched in Maharatra(but Maharashtra failed to even notify the rules of the act)
  • In Haryana, the social campaign known as “Shiksha Ka Haq Abhiyan” (Right to Education campaign) was launched by the following Personality:
    • Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs Meira Kumar

    • Union Human Resources Development, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal

    • Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Nuh in Mewat district today

11th November : India's National Education Day
  • Today On  is the Birth anniversary of  India’s first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

  • This was also observed as  National Education Day.
