Its rocking part of the people of Punjab that due to some un- appropriate decision by the Govt. Of Punjab for the buses route from Amritsar to Chandigarh .
Main Points are:
- The Punjab Lokpal on sept 2011 ordered an inquiry against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
- also his son and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in connection with ‘illegal’ plying of private air-conditioned buses from Punjab to Chandigarh.
- According to source: Lokpal Justice DS Dhaliwal (Retd) on Thursday asked Inspector General of Police (Lokpal) Sham Lal Ghakar to inquire into the matter and submit a report by November 1.
The inquiry has been ordered based on a complaint of Arvind Thakur, a lawyer who alleged that on September 9, 2007.
Badal wrote to the then Governor and UT Administrator Gen SF Rodrigues (Retd) regarding entrance of and plying of private air conditioned buses in Chandigarh.
He alleged that Badal wrote the letter so that the private buses owned by his near and dear ones could enter into Chandigarh.
